The Berri Golf Club is one of South Australia’s oldest Golf Clubs. Established in 1924, the course was built close to the town centre making it easy to access and convenient for visitors.

Our History; The Berri Golf Club was originally located below the Berri Club on River flats cleared of Hopbush and Lignums which formed fairways and 12 holes in 1924. In 1933, a new Clubhouse was built attracting members and the course was extended to 18 holes. With the event of WWII, The Berri Golf Club went into recess in 1942 and native vegetation reclaimed the course on the river flats. A new location was needed and acquired thus ending the first chapter of the club’s history.

The current course was designed after WWII on rolling sandhills located near the heart of Berri. In 1964 The fairways became watered and by 1966 the course was fully planted making way for the advancements that have been made over time.

Presently, The Berri Golf Club currently provides the opportunity for anyone who wishes to play golf offering a well maintained and attractive golf course. The membership base enjoys competitions 4 days a week and the extremely popular Twilight competition runs every Friday night during the daylight savings period. The Berri Open is held each September and has seen an increase in numbers participating in recent years. Junior and Social golf participation has seen a rapid rise in popularity and inviting social events are held throughout the year. These events attract many players and often entice people to take up golf as a sport. The Club has a wonderful social vibe that is inclusive and welcoming for new and current members.

Past Members

Many past members have influenced our proud history and assisted to create the magnificent course and facilities we have access to today. Our Life members are testament to this and the club owes them all greatly for their valuable input over the years while also recognizing the many volunteers that have worked alongside them within the club. The tireless efforts of many have ensured that our great course is presented in the best condition and that our major events and weekly competitions are enjoyable and run efficiently.

Existing Members

The membership base at the Berri Golf Club has expanded rapidly and the number of new players involved has seen the club become a very popular place to play golf. Members can be involved in many new initiatives that promote a sense of belonging and inclusiveness while participating in regular competitions and social events that are enjoyed by all.

The Berri Golf Club enjoys strong bonds with other Clubs throughout Australia and offers reciprocal rights to some wonderful Courses.
